Congratulations to this year's special award recipients from the United Way of Miami County. Three special awards were presented at last night's United Way Board meeting. Lucas Slagal received the Community of Character award, Volunteer of the Year, Brooke Robertson, and Organization of the Year, Mexico Baptist Church.
Shelley Sheneman, Campaign Chair, announced that the United had reached its campaign goal of $165,000, thanks to our caring community who believes in the United Way's mission. She stated that the United Way is still shy of $5,000 of what they raised last year. The deadline to give to this year's campaign is December 30, 2022.
