On Tuesday, December 2, the United Way of Miami County will host a variety of events to celebrate Giving Tuesday. In addition, a grant will provide a dollar-for-dollar match up to $5,000 which allows donors to double their impact in the local community. All contributions will help fund the United Way’s mission-critical
initiatives focused on food and financial security, education, early childhood development and health.

The United Way of Miami County is pleased to announce the leadership team for its 2025 fundraising campaign, themed "Uplifting Our Community." Bridgette Evenson (pictured below left), owner of Harmon Photography, and Kerri Gaumer (pictured below right), director of administrative services at Miami-Cass REMC are this year’s campaign chairs. Both women have a passion for giving back and advancing the nonprofit’s mission of improving lives throughout the community.

Glamour, gaming and giving will abound at the United Way of Miami County Annual Gala. The theme of the August 9 event is inspired by the 100-year anniversary of the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, The Great Gatsby. Guests will be transported back to the Roaring Twenties for an evening of casino gaming, live jazz music by the Swampwater Stompers, a plated dinner and festivities. The night will include a live and silent auction featuring unique items, services and experiences. The celebrity auctioneer for the event is Indiana State Representative Ethan Manning.
